Universidad Panamericana | Definition of new research areas
Definition of new research areas

In 2014, Dr. José Antonio Lozano, then UP-IPADE general rector, had the vision of turning the Universidad Panamericana into a university of research and influence. Therefore, in 2015, the Institutional Directorate of Research, now the Vice Rectorate General of Research (VGI), was created with the purpose of creating actions aimed at achieving this vision.

Since its creation, various efforts have been made to achieve institutional consolidation in the area of research: the creation of internal structures, the definition of institutional policies and guidelines to organize some elements of our strategy, the institutional drive to offer the UP Research Promotion Fund on the three campuses, the design of a faculty categorization model, among others.

These actions have allowed the institution to achieve significant growth in research results and in our visibility and social influence.

Research areas 2022

Building on this growth, in 2019, we undertook a diagnostic study and dialogue with the academic community that has allowed us to identify more clearly the areas of research where we have achieved greater impact and incidence. As a result of this analysis, we are pleased to present the Scientific Research Agenda 2022a document that summarizes the research areas and strategic initiatives of our institution.

Definition of new research areas for the institutional positioning of Panamericana.

The definition of these areas will serve as a basis to continue promoting our strategic axes: securing funds for research, applied research and the creation of an innovation and transfer ecosystem.

This document presents the result of the analysis, which has concluded with the validation of the research areas and strategic initiatives of our institution by the Rector's Council. The definition of strategic areas will serve as a basis to continue promoting our strategic axes: the achievement of research funds and the creation of an innovation and transfer ecosystem.
