Mexico City, October 3, 2024. ESDAI School of Hospitality at Universidad Panamericana, hospitality is more than just service, it is the creation of unforgettable experiences. As part of ESDAI's commitment to the training of leaders in the management of food and beverage companies, an enriching activity was carried out as part of the Experience UP. This event sought to show high school students the impact that hospitality can have on international brands such as Starbucks.

On July 3, 2024, more than 100 students from different high schools in Mexico City gathered at the Donatello Deck of Universidad Panamericana to learn from Starbucks experts.

At this event, the team of baristas and managers of the famous chain shared the story behind good coffee and the success that the brand has built since its arrival in Mexico in the 1990s, using coffee beans from Chiapas. They also explained how Starbucks has empowered Mexican coffee growers, generating a positive impact on both producing communities and consumers.

The activity included a unique culinary experience, in which students were able to participate in a coffee tasting guided by Starbucks specialists. During the tasting, several varieties of the brand's distinctive coffee were tasted, accompanied by a detailed sensory analysis. This allowed the attendees to better understand the products they usually consume, integrating the value of the experience in each cup.

The event closed with a creativity contest, in which participants, divided into teams, created new beverages under the guidance of the Starbucks team. The winning team presented an innovative cold coffee drink with raspberry and coconut flavors, which can currently be ordered at the Starbucks branch located on the Mexico City campus.

This collaboration between Starbucks and ESDAI highlighted the importance of hospitality and management in the food and beverage industry, inspiring future students in the careers of Hospitality Management y Gastronomic Business Management to think about creating experiences that transcend simple consumption.
