"...The Diploma incorporates competencies from the three areas: knowing, doing and being. It is important to change the methodological strategy in police training; new challenges and social demands arise every day, and the police user must be prepared and have a solid background in knowledge, skills and attitudes to resolve emerging conflicts. This depends to a great extent not only on the contents of their training but fundamentally on the way in which they are intended to achieve the learning objectives," commented Dr. María Isabel Álvarez Peña, director of the School of Law.

For his part, the Municipal Commissioner for Citizen Security of Morelia, Michoacán, Alejandro González Cussi, said: "Training police officers is a manual process. These are issues that have to have an impact on everyone's daily life (...) we will spare no effort in having the most prepared police in the country and today you are in a process of excellence".
