Mexico City, November 1, 2022. Universidad Panamericana entered the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings for the first time and, along with this entry, our university also made its debut in the THE World University Rankings by Subjectin which the School of Engineering has stood out.
About Rankings by Subject
The THE World University Rankings by Subject, in engineering, uses the same reliable and rigorous performance indicators as the Times Higher Education 2023 World University Rankings , but the methodology has been recalibrated to suit individual fields.
It includes leading universities in the following disciplines: general engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, mechanical and aerospace engineering, civil engineering and chemical engineering.
In order to appear in the ranking of a discipline, institutions must have more than 500 indexed papers in Scopus, in the specific discipline, published in the last five years.
Worldwide, more than 1,800 universities were evaluated. Specifically, in Engineering, only 18 Mexican universities were ranked, as they were the only ones that met the required standards. Of these 18, only two are private institutions.

- 7th best Mexican university.
- 2nd best private university in Mexico.
- 6th most cited Mexican university in Engineering.
- 3rd Mexican university with the most international research collaborations.
- 11th nationally in the Research indicator.
- 1001+ worldwide.
