Typography Universidad Panamericana

The “Universidad Panamericana” typeface family, as well as “Varsity”—whether used as a sports brand name — are original creations that are registered and protected in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Copyright Law, the Federal Law on the Protection of Industrial Property, and other applicable intellectual property regulations in Mexico. 

This typeface is the exclusive intellectual property of Centros Culturales de México A.C. and Bona Terra, A.C. (owners of Universidad Panamericana), and its use is expressly limited to the institutional purposes established by the university.

Terms of Use:

• Its use is restricted exclusively to:
  
  
  • Internal promotion at the university.
    
    
  • Academic materials produced by faculty, administrative, or support staff.
    
    
  • Official communication platforms and products, whether print or digital, endorsed by authorized institutional departments.
    
    
• It is prohibited its use in:
  
  
  • Materials for external or third-party commercial purposes.
    
    
  • Projects that do not align with the institutional identity of the Universidad Panamericana.
    
    
  • Any modification, alteration, or redistribution of the source code without express authorization.
    
    

The unauthorized use, reproduction, alteration, or commercial exploitation of this typeface may constitute a violation of the author's moral and economic rights and may result in legal action by the Universidad Panamericana.

Legal Notice Regarding the Use of the Institutional Brand

The logo, coat of arms, trade name “Universidad Panamericana,” and the “Universidad Panamericana” typeface family (primary typeface) are distinctive elements that are registered and protected under national and international intellectual and industrial property laws.

Ownership

All of the aforementioned elements are the exclusive property of Centros Culturales de México A.C. and Bona Terra, A.C. (owners of Universidad Panamericana), in accordance with the current registrations on file with the National Copyright Institute (INDAUTOR) and the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI).

Permitted Uses

The use of the institutional brand and its official typefaces is strictly limited to:

• Authorized academic material produced by faculty, staff, or researchers affiliated with the Universidad Panamericana.
• Internal institutional communication: presentations, reports, signage, and official documents.
• Authorized institutional promotion in print and digital media, developed exclusively by the university's internal departments or authorized vendors.
• Digital environments and official websites, using Baskerville URW as a secondary typeface via Adobe Fonts, under an active license and in accordance with institutional technical guidelines.

Prohibited Uses

The use, reproduction, modification, or exploitation of the trademark and fonts is prohibited in the following cases:

• Commercial or for-profit purposes unrelated to Universidad Panamericana.
• Unauthorized external projects.
• Use by third parties without a contract or written authorization.
• Unauthorized distribution, downloading, modification, or self-hosting of fonts, particularly Baskerville URW, whose license is tied to the Adobe Fonts environment.

Protection and Penalties

Any misuse of the institutional identity elements constitutes a violation of the economic and moral rights of the Universidad Panamericana, which may result in appropriate legal action.
