ZAPOPAN, Jalisco; May 21, 2024.- Last May 9, the Department of Art and Culture of the Universidad Panamericana Guadalajara Campus hosted the exhibition entitled "Art by Design"; in which the students of the School of Communication were recognized for their artistic talents through graphic design.

The event began at 18:40 hrs in the facilities of the Universidad Panamericana in the Central Building. To begin, the master of ceremonies welcomed the attendees along with the presidium: Dr. José Rafael Santana Villegas, Dean of the School of Communication, and Dr. Ignacio Acosta, Director of Art and Culture of the campus, who highlighted the importance of this exhibition for the university community. The "Art by Design" exhibition is a platform for students to express their creativity through vectors, reflecting their interpretation of art and culture in each design, from abstract expressions to figurative representations.

A recognition for creativity

Afterwards, diplomas were handed out to the participants, recognizing their effort and dedication, while words from members of the university underlined the importance of promoting spaces that encourage student creativity. Afterwards, the first three places were awarded recognition; third place was awarded to Carlos Cabrera González for "LibARTy!", second place to Marina Paola Muñoz Camarena for "Poción Creativa", and first place to Ana Sophia Schlesinger Padilla for "Sabor a México".

Finally, the ribbon was cut, officially opening the exhibition. The attendees were invited to tour the exhibition guided by the artists and to participate in a toast in their honor.

An invitation to live with design

The inauguration of the "Art by Design" exhibition at Universidad Panamericana Campus Guadalajara celebrated the creativity and talent of the students. Throughout the event, attendees were able to appreciate the diversity and originality of the works presented, reflecting the deep connection between art and culture. The pieces will be exhibited on campus for the next 3 months.
