We also admire the work and technique of other teams, since it’s incredible to see how dance transcends borders and how we’ve found friendship among the girls on other teams—they, too, understand all the hard work and sacrifice that comes with participating in an international competition,”, she emphasizes.
The student Sofía Aguilar in the Business Administration and Marketing, shares that her experience in Orlando was wonderful, as it taught her that you can always achieve what you want as long as you work hard for it and appreciate what you have. “It’s incredible to be able to represent your country and university and meet people from different parts of the world who share the same love for dance,”, she notes.
For Vercia Lozano, a student of Innovation and Design Engineering, this trip marked her third and final participation in an international competition after spending six years on the poms and jazz. “I’m very happy with the results and to end this wonderful experience—which has been the best years of my life—on a high note,”, she says.
