Panamericana inaugurates the AGA Paddle Tennis Complex

ZAPOPAN, Jalisco; April 24, 2024.- The Universidad Panamericana Campus Guadalajara held the inauguration of the AGA Paddle Tennis Complex, a work that has been developed to provide recreational and coexistence spaces for the university community.

The opening event was attended by the distinguished rector, Dr. José Antonio Esquivias; Mr. Álvaro Castañeda Ibarra, sports director of the campus; and Marcelo Garciarce, general director of the AGA consortium.

Opening Remarks

Dr. José Antonio Esquivias, rector of the Universidad Panamericana Campus Guadalajara, emphasized that this complex is more than just sports fields: "Here we also develop many virtues.Many virtues are also developed here. It develops the virtues of prudence, fortitude, friendship, being able to spend some time together, being able to spread the spirit, so that later on they can again approach theoretical knowledge and be able to move forward in their professional careers".

Álvaro Castañeda Ibarra, sports director of our campus, stated that the AGA Padel Complex "was born from listening to our students, from knowing their tastes and current sports trends.was born from listening to our students, from knowing their tastes and current sports trends, with the sole objective of offering them a new space for healthy recreation and coexistence that complements their sporting activities.with the sole objective of offering them a new space for healthy recreation and coexistence to complement their university life.

For his part, Marcelo Garciarce, general manager of the AGA consortium, shared that to speak of the Universidad Panamericana and the AGA Padel Complex is to speak of a relationship from the beginning. "From the first moment they came to the office to present this great project to me, I said how could I not? The AGA Padel Complex will participate in it. For us it is very important to continue promoting the sport".

AGA Paddle Complex

The construction of the Padel Complex was based on three fundamental pillars:

  1. New spaces and services: The objective was to provide new areas where the university community could recreate and socialize.
  2. One more classroom: The vision of a space where the development of virtues and values is encouraged, promoting coexistence among students and collaborators.
  3. Promotion of sports and healthy coexistence: Continue promoting sports activities for a healthy and participatory university environment.

Benefits for the Pan-American community

The Paddle Tennis Complex has four paddle tennis courts, terraces with capacity for more than 150 people, ping-pong and foosball tables. In addition, the gastronomic offer was expanded with two new food concessions.

Hybrid paddle tennis court manufactured under European structural standards, with state-of-the-art design, extremely resistant due to the unique combination in the construction of frames and pillars. It has completely panoramic headers, electrowelded mesh, tempered glass and 8 LED lights.
