ZAPOPAN, Jalisco; February 15, 2022.- "The current situation raises anthropological, philosophical and theological questions that from the humanistic analysis can be studied. The university community is a good space to generate this dialogue." XIII Universitas Forum: The World Facing the Pandemic.

The Humanities Department of the Universidad Panamericana invites all undergraduate and graduate students, as well as all professors from any school or faculty of the University to participate in the XIII edition of the Universitas Forum.

The Universitas Forum is an event designed for the community to present in writing, in a documented and critical manner, their opinion on the topic proposed as the focus of discussion, through an argumentative essay; this year the theme chosen was "The world in the face of the pandemic: reimagining society from a Christian humanism".

The COVID-19 pandemic declared as such on March 11, 2020 by the World Health Organization (WHO) has not only taken lives, but has changed human behavior and exposed deep fault lines in the social fabric of our world.

The XIII Universitas Forum seeks that the reflection on the COVID-19 pandemic will help participants to deepen their understanding of this phenomenon and to propose ideas to face the challenges it presents, looking to the future and maintaining the hopeful tone of Christian humanism.

The thematic axes proposed are: Confinement and socialization, Deconfinement and its challenges, Christianity in the face of suffering, Lessons learned and irreversible changes.
