New communication perspective at the Panamericana Guadalajara

Zapopan, Jalisco; October 28, 2022.- In recent days, in Mexico City, the Advertising Advisory Council was formed, which was composed of important and prominent professionals in the advertising industry, presenting a new perspective of communication.

Advertising Advisory Council

The objective of this council is to analyze trends in the operation of the new models of the advertising sector in Mexico and the world. Likewise, this council seeks to strengthen the University's study programs.

At the Guadalajara campus, this council will be coordinated by Dr. Rafael Santana Villegas, director of the School of Communication, and Mr. Federico Torres López, director of the Communication and Journalism and Communication, Advertising and Public Relations programs. This council will be held every six months and will analyze the new models and vectors of advertising in order to incorporate the most relevant to the educational program.

The integration of this council has the presence of distinguished professionals in the area, such as: Andrezj Rattinger, president of Grupo Merca2.0; Juan Artega managing partner of WHY Transformation; Alan Luviano of Agora Publicidad; Alejandro Rodríguez, CEO of Alquimia Publicidad; Gabriel Richaud, director of IAB; Salvador Sánchez Gutiérrez, director of Zubia People and Business.

On the other hand, in the audiovisual field, the Audiovisual Communication Advisory Council was also established to address trends in this medium and create a strategic vision that can be adapted to the University's curriculum.

This council seeks to meet once every semester in person and will have the participation of various experts in the audiovisual area, such as: Daniel Alejandre, Founder of Encinta (production house and audiovisual equipment rental), UP alumni, director / screenwriter and producer; Jorge Riggen, Filmmaker and screenwriter, Director of the Film Commission of the State of Jalisco; Sergio Aguilar, Film Researcher, Coordinator of Sepancine, Director of the Morbido Festival in Merida; Alvaro Arce, Director of Semillero Estudios, audio and sound post-producer for advertising and film; Alejandro Trigos, Director, Screenwriter and Photographer; Salvador Campos, Producer and Founder of Hobby Creative Studio, the only production house in Jalisco dedicated to Stop Motion; Raúl Bonillas, Producer, Director and Partner, Halberd Studios; UP alumni; Luis Serna, Head of the Audiovisual Academy; Mario González, Head of the Laboratories of the School of Communication; Rafael Santana, Director of the School of Communication; Gabriel Domínguez, Director of the Bachelor's Degree in Communication and Audiovisual Creation.
