Zapopan, Jalisco; February 20, 2023.- For the third consecutive year, Panamericana appears in the "GreenMetric Ranking" with excellent results worldwide. This ranking is based on sustainability and environmental care; it was created by the University of Indonesia in 2010. GreenMetric is based on an online survey that universities must complete to provide information on their environmental practices and performance.

This survey takes into account 39 indicators, distributed in six different criteria that are basic for the evaluation of the institutions, which are: Infrastructure, Waste Management, Water Care, Transportation, Education and Research, Energy Efficiency and Climate Change.
Universities involved
More than 956 universities from 80 different countries are involved, among which Panamericana climbed 35 places compared to the previous year.
Panamericana won the top prize for being the best private university in terms of sustainability, ranked 27th in the world in energy efficiency and climate change, and 92nd in the world in water management.
These statistics show the level of social commitment that Panamericana has in terms of environmental issues, since they have focused on providing the university community with an adequate environment to develop as integral people and that, in the same way, favors the environment and its social surroundings.
For the Universidad Panamericana is a great pride and a great responsibility to be in this ranking, being a reference in Mexico and the world in an area as important as the preservation of our planet.
