Aguascalientes, Ags., August 1, 2024.- Artificial Intelligence Engineering students from our Panamericana campus Panamericana campus Aguascalientes are doing internships this summer in large companies in the technology sector worldwide, such as Microsoft, Netflix, Meta and Google.
Thanks to the effort and dedication they have put in since high school, the students of the School of Engineering have been rewarded with the great opportunity to do three-month internships in different parts of the world.
Carlos San José 's involvement has been within the Pixel Watch team at San Francisco-based Google, where he has put his machine learning skills into practice.
Adrián Muro Garduño is currently working in the Cloud Hosting Networking area at Netflix, a company based in California. There, he works in the optimization of distributed systems of the same company.

María Pachur Parás works remotely with the Customer Care Experience team at Lyft. " I think with internships you learn more from the real world than what you learn in a classroom," she adds.
On the other hand, and with the longest stay of six months, the student Andrés Lomelí works on the implementation and testing of algorithms for different operating systems in a research center of the Huawei company based in Dresden, Germany.
"I am working in the Cloud Operations and Innovation team at Microsoft where I specifically work on Azure and the inventory system they have in the graphical part that technicians use. I hope to learn a lot from this experience, especially about systems that interact with people in the real world," says Santiago Pedroza Díaz.
Based in Ontario, Canada, Emiliano Hernández Hurtado also contributes to Google in the Google Cloud area by filtering the data presented to users on this platform.
Arturo Avelar has also had the opportunity to work in the Commerce and Ecosystem organization within Microsoft, where he has been able to work with new technologies involving artificial intelligence.
"This summer, I am working at Meta based in Menlo Park, California. I hope this experience will help me broaden my horizons and learn what it's like to work in a large software company," shares Erwin Alberto Lopez Hurtado.

In addition, the students emphasize the great reputation that these international internships give the School of Engineering in order to position it globally in front of the largest technology companies.
"The interns we find in these types of companies are students who go to the most prestigious universities in the world, such as MIT, Harvard, Cambridge, etc., and the fact that we are on par with these students and these institutions is a great merit for us as Mexican students," they add.
