Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes; January 26, 2026.— As part of its strategy for internationalization and the development of leaders with a global perspective, the Universidad Panamericana Aguascalientes campus signed a dual-degree agreement with Northwood University, a leading institution in business and management based in Michigan, United States.
A strategic agreement with international impact
This agreement will allow students in the Bachelor of International Business program at the School of Economics and Business to earn two official degrees recognized in Mexico and the United States, thereby enhancing their competitiveness and employability in the global market.
Under this academic model, students complete most of their studies at the Universidad Panamericana and finish their final year at Northwood University, earning degrees in International Business upon successful completion of the program.
Academic Exchange and Practical Training
On the occasion of this meeting, the Aguascalientes campus of the Universidad Panamericana , welcomed a delegation from Northwood University, composed of academic leaders who shared their experience and vision with the university community:
- Dr. Stacy Tetloff, academic dean, who delivered the keynote address titled “Power Skills in Practice: Experiential Learning in Higher Education,” which focused on the importance of hands-on learning in higher education.
- Dr. David Oventhal, recognized as Subaru of New England’s professor of automotive strategy, whose solid track record provided strategic insight into key industrial sectors.
- Lucy Pagán, M.A., director of international admissions, who highlighted the value of academic mobility and international admissions processes.
Dr. Stacey explained that Northwood University works continuously with industry to ensure that its programs meet the current needs of the global market, prioritizing the development of so-called “power skills,” such as communication, leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
In this regard, he stated that the agreement with the Universidad Panamericana allows the university to offer students a solid international academic experience, focused not only on professional preparation but also on a well-rounded education with a global impact.

During the event, Dr. Ramiro Velázquez, vice president of the Aguascalientes campus of the Universidad Panamericana , emphasized that internationalization is an institutional commitment, underpinned by research with global impact, the strengthening of strategic partnerships, and the recruitment of international academic talent.
“As students, you have experienced this commitment through our global academic exchange programs with some 200 universities around the world,” he emphasized to the university community.
He also highlighted the prestige of Northwood University as a strategic partner in advancing this institutional vision. “Northwood University develops leaders in the private sector who drive global economic and social progress, inspiring its students to compete in international markets through innovation and always grounded in ethics, integrity, and social responsibility, ” he emphasized.
For his part, Jorge Enrique Pérez Mar, M.A., dean of the School of Economics and Business, noted that Northwood University is an institution specializing in international business, marketing, and the automotive sector, which adds strategic value to the students’ education,
“The goal of this partnership is to offer students an academic experience in the United States and help them strengthen their position in the global job market,” he said.
