Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes, June 23, 2025.— The Universidad Panamericana Aguascalientes campus was visited by Shinji Horiuchi, CEO of Fujita Mexico during a key institutional meeting aimed at promoting academic internationalization and expanding employment opportunities for students abroad, with an emphasis on the Japanese market.
Strategic partnership with a world-class company
Fujita Corporation, founded in 1910 in Japan, is internationally recognized for its expertise in construction, engineering, industrial infrastructure, and sustainable urban development. Throughout its history, it has forged strategic partnerships with educational institutions around the world, becoming a key partner in the training of specialized talent and the transfer of knowledge.
“The Japanese presence in Aguascalientes represents an invaluable opportunity for our students’ professional development. By strengthening ties with leading companies such as Fujita Corporation, we are advancing the internationalization of our academic programs,”, said Mercedes Urzúa, M.A., dean of the School of Engineering at the Universidad Panamericana , Aguascalientes campus.
Commitment to Internationalization and Employability
During the visit, meetings were held with university officials to explore possible avenues for collaboration in areas such as internships, academic outreach programs, joint innovation and development projects, and opportunities for graduate studies.
In particular, they highlighted the mutual interest in strengthening the relationship in the fields of engineering, architecture, and high-level specialized training.
This event represents a significant step toward strengthening the global vision of the Universidad Panamericana, in line with its commitment to training professionals with an international perspective and access to broader and more competitive employment networks.“These types of agreements allow our future engineers and architects to be trained to global standards that broaden their worldview,”, added the dean.
The Fujita Mexico delegation consisted of Mr. Shinji Horiuchi, CEO; Nizi Key Salvador, translator; José Alejandro Tostado, Human Resources Representative; and Luis Alberto Lares, from the Value Engineering department.
Representing the National Institute of Health ( Universidad Panamericana), the following participated: Dr. Ramiro Velázquez, vice rector of the Aguascalientes campus; and Mercedes Urzúa, M.A., dean of the School of Engineering; and Luis Arturo Méndez, M.A., dean of the School of Architecture.
Also in attendance was Israel Gallegos, M.A., Director of Institutional Development; and Paulina León, M.A., director of International Affairs; and Dr. Isaí Reyes, Director of Graduate Engineering Programs; and Karen Rodríguez, M.A., director of the Civil Engineering and Management program.
