Mexico City, October 24, 2023.- The Bufete Jurídico Gratuito Social A.C. ( BJGS), founded by professors of the School of Law of the Universidad PanamericanaThe Bufete Jurídico Gratuito Social A.C. (BJGS), founded by professors of the School of Law of the University of Mexico and in which students participate, obtained for the first time the Accreditation in Institutionalism and Transparency (AIT) granted by the Mexican Center for Philanthropy (Cemefi).
Relevance of TIA
The IWA is an accreditation created specifically as a source of reference and information on the management of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), while demonstrating the strengthening of transparency and accountability and commitment to good practices in the field.
For BJGS, which seeks to provide free legal advice and representation, as well as emotional support to victims of domestic violence and low-income people, obtaining this accreditation reflects the institution's clear social commitment, as well as the internal development and strengthening achieved.
Community support and service
There are several requirements that must be met in order to obtain certification, each one aimed at proving that the organization in question is serious, committed, with budgetary and administrative transparency and that it demonstrates that its income is aimed at supporting low-income people, which BJGS was able to prove.
Accreditation will give BJGS greater visibility as a credible and trusted body. Likewise, the firm's donors will have faith in the transparency of its procedures, which will translate into greater investments and, therefore, in the improvement and expansion of the services they offer.
In turn, receiving the accreditation has helped to strengthen the firm, since, in order to receive the recognition, they had to lay the foundations for a better operation and, in doing so, they will work on them to continue improving as an organization.
