Political talent club is registered with IMPI

ZAPOPAN, Jalisco; October 26, 2022.- The Political Talent Club of the School of Communication of the Universidad Panamericana, is an initiative of the director of the careers of Communication and Journalism, and Communication, Advertising and Public Relations, Mtro. Federico Torres López, who upon detecting among the students of the subject of political communication, that some students liked politics and government communication, decided to promote this club that has already placed several students as political advisors or as candidates for elected office.

Such is the case of Frida Rodriguez, who advises a politician in Los Cabos, Maria Elisa Bravo, who leads the youth movement of the Movimiento Ciudadano party in the state, Ana Paula Arreola, who became the coordinator of advisors to the secretary of education in Jalisco, among others.

The purpose of the club is toinvite top-level government officials who are active in government positions at any of the three levels, so that they can share their experiences with the young people, who will then be able to establish their criteria for their future incursion. It works with monthly lectures and at the end of each presentation students have the opportunity to ask questions and raise cases. It has been in operation for five years and every day more and more students from other careers are interested in participating, as is the case of law.

Recently, this has been registered with the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI), giving it greater relevance and visibility among the community. "Universidad Panamericanascuela seeks to form complementary programs to the curriculum of each career and this is the reason for having exclusive and branded programs. We seek to innovate in order to better form the civic/political criteria of our students. Having the Political Talent Club registered as a brand puts us on the radar of national political communication," said Torres.

The most recent edition of the Political Talent Club held the conference "Economic and Social Perspectives of Mexico for 2023" given by Luis Alberto Güemez, Bachelor in Business Administration, Master in Finance and graduate of the Senior Management Program (AD2) at IPADE.

Luis Güemez, who is currently managing partner at Kuali Derivados SA de CV, and managing partner at Análisis Bursar SC (Investment Bankers), spoke about the U.S. economic recession and how it will impact Mexico, the country's debt, the upcoming elections in 2024, among other topics.

The president of the Political Talent Club, Maria Fernanda Anglarill, a student of Communication, Advertising and Public Relations, said, "It is evident that thanks to recent events, Mexico has been affected, both economically and socially and that is why the teacher pointed out that no one better than young people, to start with a radical change. Mexicans must understand the importance of these issues and work on them in order to improve the economy and the society in which they live.
