ZAPOPAN, Jalisco; August 30, 2022.- The Universidad Panamericana Campus Guadalajara welcomes the new members of the different Student Groups for the 2022-2023 cycle in the inauguration ceremony. The event was attended by students, parents and the UP community, in the presidium we had the presence of the Vice Rector of Research, Dr. Sergio Velázquez Rodríguez and Dr. Rocío Ruíz Mendoza, Vice Rector of University Life.

During the event, outgoing members Alexandra Velázquez Carranza (outgoing President of CANACO, Emprendedores Universitarios), Karla Valeria Alatorre Larrañaga (outgoing President SAUP), Regina María Lara Estrada (outgoing Vice President SAUP), Daniela Mejía Romero (outgoing President Enactus UP), Luis Manuel Castellanos Marroquín (outgoing President Coparmex UP) were bid farewell.
The new leaders of the student groups were also welcomed; Saúl Sánchez Vargas (President SAUP), José Antonio Gómez Ornelas (Vice President SAUP), Erika Liliana Martínez Talavera (Treasurer SAUP), Silvia Paola Elizondo Durán (General Secretary SAUP), Luis Martín Ramos Aguilar (President Enactus UP), Ana Victoria Rodríguez (Vice President Enactus UP), Diana Andrea Iñiguez Magdaleno (President CANACO, Emprendedores Universitarios UP), Yocelin Abigail Pérez Cavero (Vice President CANACO, Emprendedores Universitarios UP), Rodolfo Preciado Ruíz Velasco (President Coparmex UP) and Fernando Espinoza Cisneros (Vice President Coparmex UP).
The incoming presidents of the different student groups thanked the outgoing members for their work and took the opportunity to express their goals and assume their commitment to the University.

What are the functions of each Student Group?
The UP Alumni Society (SAUP) is the representative body par excellence of the students of the University. Its main function is to look after the interests of the students and to carry out activities and events for the benefit of the University Community. ENACTUS UP belongs to a worldwide organization with the same name. They are dedicated to incubate sustainable businesses. And finally, COPARMEX UP and CANACO EMPRENDEDORES UNIVERSITARIOS UP, are in the same category, because their activities and objectives are similar, to promote entrepreneurship in the university community and give the opportunity to those who are part of the group to have networking with other entrepreneurs. They differ in that they belong to different chambers.
The Universidad Panamericana celebrates the inauguration of the student groups, who represent and watch over the entire student body, congratulates all presidents, outgoing and incoming, for their transcendent activities.
