Mexico City, Mexico, May 6, 2025.- The Universidad Panamericana Mexico City campus received the ELSSA (Safe and Healthy Workplace Environments) Distinctiveawarded by the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS).. This distinction is valid for one year and is obtained through the training of at least one worker as an ELSSA monitor and the implementation of actions to build safe and healthy work environments.
Collaborative institutional work
To obtain this distinction, Universidad Panamericana worked for a year to collect and validate evidence, addressing approximately 200 indicators distributed in five lines of the ELSSA Program: health, accident prevention, labor welfare, safety and promotion of healthy lifestyles. Meeting more than 60% of the indicators in each category was a fundamental requirement to achieve accreditation.
The active participation of departments such as the Accreditation and Certification Management, the Operations Department (Services, Security, Civil Protection and Maintenance), the Talent and Institutional Culture Department, as well as the Vive Sano area, was key in the preparation and validation of the required evidence. In addition, we were guided by an IMSS advisor and the guidance of Dr. Cristina León. Dr. Cristina León from the Guadalajara campus.
