UP signs agreement with Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals

Mexico City, June 3, 2024.- In order to promote continuing education in the real estate sector, as well as to foster professional and academic excellence, the Universidad Panamericana signed an agreement with the Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals (AMPI).

Present at the event on behalf of Panamericana, Mexico City campus, were Dr. Santiago García Álvarez, rector; Ms. Cecilia Canal Garrido, vice rector; Ms. Almudena Vaca Romero, director of Strategy, Development and Quality of Graduate Studies; and Ms. María Fernanda Cuén Madero, deputy director of the Business School at Panamericana City;

Also present were Mr. Salvador Beltrán del Río, Director of Institutional Development, and Ms. Paulina Ponce del Castillo, from the Coordination of Business Graduate Studies at the Santa Fe campus, both from the Panamericana campus in Mexico City, as well as AMPI President Marissa Quiroga.

Linkage opportunity

Regarding the signing of this agreement, the Vice Chancellor stated: "I think that alliances are positive, because they are precisely an opportunity for rapprochement, dialogue and collaboration, which will always take us further than we would achieve without the company (of institutions such as AMPI)".

"We believe that this will be a very fruitful agreement, which will be an opportunity to carry out projects together that will contribute to Mexico, to the country's education, to the university and to all partners," he added.

Similarly, Ms. Cuen said: "The Panamericana is one of the highest level universities in the country and also already internationally renowned(...) I believe that what can be achieved (between the Panamericana and AMPI) is enormous, and I believe that the basis for the future is training".

The director of Institutional Development mentioned: "(...) for us this type of alliances, with such an important association as AMPI, are very important, they allow us not only to link ourselves but also to open spaces for our students and our professors".

Benefits for AMPI and Panamericana

For his part, Dr. García Álvarez stated: "For the Universidad Panamericana This agreement is very important. We at the university have promoted the concept of education for life, that is, it is not only a matter of the degree, but it has to do with different updates over time."

He pointed out that in the specific case of AMPI, programs of common benefit can be created: "Not only so that all the people who are part of AMPI can have access to this type of continuous training, but also because what we have found in the university is that initiativescan be created where we both do our part and where there is a win-winsituation.

He also recognized and congratulated AMPI for its trajectory, dedication and the relevance of its sector in the development of Mexico, and said that the university is open to continue collaborating in various areas to promote this growth.

The Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals at the national level in Mexico (AMPI), has existed since 1956 and, thanks to its bylaws and code of ethics, groups all professional individuals involved in the real estate activity, such as brokers, administrators, appraisers, consultants, developers and real estate advisors.

It is a non-governmental organization that, at the same time, serves as the governing body of real estate activity throughout the country.
