SMART Center explores the power of self-knowledge

Mexico City, June 26, 2023.- After a year and a half since the launch of the training Mentoring Toolsheld as part of the SMART Mentoring Diploma, with curricular value, there are now more than 50 mentors who have committed to cross generational gaps to develop a closer and more assertive dialogue with mentees .

Innovative model

After identifying self-knowledge as the main basis, SMART Center Campus Mexico, from Universidad Panamericana, offers an experience that promises to provide counselors with the necessary skills to understand the personal and professional characteristics of university students, through various theories and the blended model.

This innovative proposal allows the identification of common interests that facilitate the development of a closer and more assertive dialogue between counselor and student. All this is possible by knowing the character, personality, strengths and weaknesses of each student to work collaboratively and help them reach their best version.

At the same time, the training reinforces the use of the DPI(test taken by students at the time of entering the degree program), thus offering advice and specific recommendations for each career, to support the development of areas of opportunity according to the profile of each student.

Successful training

As part of the training, a face-to-face session allows participants to explore and get to know themselves. This is done through a characterology test and an activity with movie characters, which allows them to identify areas for improvement and personal strengths.

These tools are invaluable in providing the necessary resources for growth and development. This training is one of the most successful experiences among advisors because of the subject matter and the conviviality that the content generates.

With this, SMART Center aims, in the medium term, to train as many mentors as possible on the Mexico City campus, in order to expand the reach of this valuable training.
