Zapopan, Jalisco, September 30, 2025.— The Universidad Panamericana GuadalajaraUniversidad Panamericana successfully completed a certificate program for teachers at Colegio Altamira, focusing on innovative teaching strategies and the inclusion of neurodivergent students.
This initiative strengthens institutional ties and provides teachers with new tools to address today's educational challenges.

The Teaching Vocation and Its Challenges
At the conclusion of the program, Dr. Ligia García Béjar, dean of the Department of Psychology and Educational Psychology at the Universidad Panamericana, thanked the attendees and emphasized the importance of continuing education for teachers.
He emphasized that setting aside time for pedagogical reflection and the acquisition of new skills is essential for improving educational practice and meeting students' needs.

“What unites us, in addition to our calling, is the certainty that we always need help. Because education is a very complex undertaking that involves many challenges,”he said.
An inclusive and transformative education
The certificate program included practical workshops designed to address the challenges of today's classroom, with modules on:
- Effective comprehensive discipline.
- Active methodologies to foster critical thinking, independence, and creativity.
- Inclusive support for neurodivergent students.
Dr. Ligia García noted that the mission of every educator should be to help students become better people and to believe in each student’s potential: “Each of you has the ability to make a difference in the lives of the children and adolescents in your care,”, she said.

Spanning 22 hours across six sessions, the certificate program aimed to enhance both the students’ academic learning and personal development through more effective and mindful teaching.
