Universidad Panamericana agreement with the Jalisco Institute of Forensic Sciences

Zapopan, Jalisco; September 25, 2025.—The Universidad Panamericana , Guadalajara Universidad Panamericana , and the Jalisco Institute of Forensic Sciences  (IJCF) signed a collaboration agreement with the aim of enriching the academic and professional training of psychology students.

Through this partnership, students will be able to complete internships in a real-world setting, gaining valuable experience while directly supporting the institute.

A virtuous cycle of collaboration

Dr. Abraham Mendoza Andrade, dean of the Guadalajara campus, emphasized the importance of forming strategic partnerships that foster mutual learning: “Today we have the capacity to work together, contribute, learn, and eventually create a virtuous cycle from these collaborations,”, he said.

He emphasized that this agreement represents an opportunity to strengthen two fundamental pillars of society—health and education— while also creating opportunities for reflection, feedback, and the search for joint solutions to current challenges.

Internships with a social impact

The agreement will enable psychology students to grapple with complex realities that enrich their personal and professional development, fostering social awareness and values such as sincerity and humility.

“Psychology should be present in all areas. These agreements allow us to grow and achieve excellence, said Dr. Ligia García Béjar, dean of the Department of Psychology and Educational Psychology at the University.

“We don’t just want them to come and help us; we want this to be a real clinical training site,added Dr. Alejandro Axel Rivera Martínez, director of the Jalisco Institute of Forensic Sciences.

Values and a Shared Future

The signing of the agreement also reflects the humanistic and Christian identity of the Universidad Panamericana.

“Seeing human beings in all their dimensions is one of the most direct ways to fulfill our institutional mission, because that is where human suffering lies and where we can make a difference and support others,said Dr. Abraham Mendoza. 

Both institutions agreed that this agreement will broaden the academic and research landscape, with practical applications to the various challenges facing today's society. 

In doing so, the Universidad Panamericana its commitment to educating better professionals and citizens for a more socially conscious and compassionate society.
