Mexico City, December 4, 2025.— The School of Health Sciences of the Universidad Panamericana officially launched theMaster’s in Leadership and Senior Management for Physicians, an innovative graduate program designed to equip healthcare leaders with the strategic and managerial tools necessary to address the complex challenges of contemporary healthcare management.
This new program addresses the growing need for healthcare professionals who, in addition to their clinical excellence, have a solid background in strategic direction, resource management, evidence-based decision-making, and leadership of multidisciplinary teams.

It is designed for both physicians and healthcare professionals who already hold leadership positions in public or private organizations, as well as those in the early stages of their careers who have a clear interest in the administration and transformation of healthcare institutions.
A program with a tangible impact
The Master’s in Leadership and Executive Management for Physicians is distinguished by its deeply practical and results-oriented approach. “The goal is to develop and strengthen leadership skills that improve the quality of healthcare organizations,”, as highlighted in the program’s objectives.

To achieve this, participantswill implement strategies and action plans for institutional improvement during their training, with the ultimate goal of achieving high-level leadership performance that results in the greatest possible benefit for patients and their families.
Curriculum and format
The two-year, blended-learning program combines real-time online classes with three intensive in-person modules. Its curriculum focuses on two main areas: leadership and management, as applied to the healthcare sector.
Notable courses include Strategy and Execution, Applied Ethics, Health Finance, Human Resources Management, Public Health, and Digital Health. A central component is theProject Development module, in which students will design and implement an initiative with tangible social impact, thereby accelerating their professional development and their contribution to the sector.

Faculty of Excellence
The master's program is under the academic direction ofDr. Enrique Ruelas Barajas, an internationally renowned figure in the field of health.
Dr. Ruelas, president and director of the International Institute for the Future of Health, has held high-level positions, including former president of the National Academy of Medicine of Mexico and former undersecretary for Innovation and Quality at the Federal Ministry of Health, among others. His career ensures a direct link between theory, practice, and the highest echelons of health policy and administration.
