Engineering celebrates the 20th edition of the VeHiMo Project

Aguascalientes, Ags., June 5, 2024.- The School of Engineering of our Panamericana campus Panamericana campus Aguascalientes celebrated the twentieth edition of the VeHiMo Go-Karts Project race, which challenges teams from the same faculty to conceive, design, manufacture, develop and compete with small formula-style vehicles.

After an intense semester in which the sixth semester students of the different engineering programs saw the results of their work materialize, the Go-Karts race was held at the Óvalo Aguascalientes.

Six teams competed in an intense one-hour race where the team that completed the most laps was proclaimed champion of this edition in front of all the spectators.

VeHiMo project that tests engineering skills

Initially, the students designed their chassis based on a set of rules to guide the construction of the project; the evaluation also contemplated that the design and the model of the car were the same so that the students would learn to design and follow a series of design guidelines.

The evaluation consisted of a series of visual tests and destructive tests on the vehicles to ensure the safety of the students at all times so that the project does not present any risk to the pilots at any time.
