Aguascalientes, Ags., May 6th, 2024.- In its 2024 edition, the UP Talent had a record of more than 100 participants in different categories - UP High School, UP Alumni and UP Alumni/Officials -in the disciplines of singing, performance and ensemble.

Among the participants in the high school category were various educational institutions from the Bajío region, such as Colegio Triana, Encino, Real de San Luis, Angel Anguiano, Luventus, and Colegio de Artes y Ciencias.
In the UP Alumni category there was a great competition of talent from the UP artist community between singers and student bands such as "Jazz club sandwich","Rumine", "Backend", "Martin burned a rope", "Starlet Femmes", among others.
Finally, the emerging talent of rock, performance and singing bands from our Pan American Panamericana was found in the UP Alumni/Staff category. Some of them are "Flor de piel" (UP alumni rock band), "Puerto" (band formed by UP officials), "COMTE" (UP alumni band) as well as great numbers like "Motion" (by our alumni hip hop dance team) and officials like Diego de la Rosa and Ivan Armendariz with great singing talent.
One of the most memorable moments was the presentation of our hip hop dance team along with the UP teachers' ensemble during the intermission between categories and with the sale of food by students of the Scenography Workshop.
It is worth mentioning that more than 1,000 spectators were able to enjoy this great event. Nine jurors of great professional prestige in music, dance and production were present for the evaluation: Oscar Zalazar, Adalya Puente, Charly Calvillo, Ángel López, Luis Arturo Rosas Malacara, Alex Flores, Javier Betancourt, Hugo Lara and David Rangel.
The conduction was in charge of singing teacher Alejandra Ondarza and, in addition to the coordination by the Department of Art and Culture, 15 students from the event organization workshop were involved in the organization of the event.
