Celebrating the 5th Anniversary of the UP Court

ZAPOPAN, Jalisco; December 01, 2023.- The Universidad Panamericana Campus Guadalajara celebrated the fifth anniversary of its professional soccer field, a milestone in its sports trajectory. The event, accompanied by acknowledgements and words of gratitude, highlighted the achievements and impact that this facility has had in the sports and educational fields.

During the celebration, a timeline was presented that reflected the highlights of the court since its inauguration in October 2018. Among these, the visit of renowned teams such as Chivas, Atlas, Pumas, América, Cruz Azul, Rayados de Monterrey, among others, which have consolidated the prestige of our court, stood out.

Gratitude and Recognition

"For us it was an honor to have the unconditional support of our alumni, who together with their beloved coach, Jorge "Ché" Correa, promoted this project". Words from María Fernanda Reynoso Rivero, Assistant Director of the University Development Office, who was in charge of leading the ceremony, thanking the donors, alumni, businessmen and allies whose impulse made possible the realization of this emblematic court. She acknowledged the effort and commitment of key companies and individuals in the materialization of this sports dream. The field has the FIFA regulatory measures (105 x 68 meters) in addition to having natural grass, with a mixture of Bermuda Celebration for summer and Rye Grass for winter.

 

Gratitude and Recognition

This event was attended by major donors and important companies that contributed to the "Return the Ball" campaign by positioning their brands among the university community with the installation of their billboards.

Dr. José Antonio Esquivias Romero, Rector of the Universidad Panamericana Campus Guadalajara, shared an emotional message thanking all those present and highlighting the value of the court in the integral development of the students.

Antonio Lara Barragan, who, in memory of his wife, Mrs. Patricia Margarita Ortega Ramos, shared the will she showed in leaving her family legacy at Panamericana as a sign of gratitude and commitment to our university for all that this institution has meant to them, thus leaving their mark on the university community by making the construction of this important facility a reality. Mr. José Francisco Baeza de Brown Forman delivered a message on behalf of all the partner companies of this project, highlighting the work that the University has done to provide its students with the best facilities and above all a training in values. Finally, coach Jorge "Ché" Correa, shared his gratitude with all the people who were entrepreneurs of this sports classroom.

The day culminated with the official photograph of the event, marking a symbolic moment for the University. The attendees enjoyed a soccer game, where friends and alumni joined together to commemorate the first five years of the field.
