The event was also attended by Dr. Santiago García, rector of the Mexico City campus, who highlighted the diversity of backgrounds and vocations that come together in this initiative.

“We are very pleased to see the diversity of careers and paths that the students of Proyectos de Vida. We’ve also seen how graduates begin to join the workforce and public service, creating a virtuous cycle that opens up opportunities for others, he said.

Stories That Give Meaning to the Program

One of the most significant moments was the testimony of Axel Hernández Vera, a graduate of the Instituto Fundación Azteca and currently a fourth-semester mechanical engineering student. Axel shared how this opportunity has strengthened his academic and personal commitment, as well as his determination to make the most of every opportunity offered by the Universidad Panamericana.

“This 80% scholarship isn’t just a number on a pay stub. For me, it means peace of mind for my parents and the removal of the biggest obstacle in my life,” she said.

He also emphasized that the support received goes beyond financial assistance, as it directly impacts the development and opportunities of the students participating in the program.

“Today, I want you to see me and know that your investment is paying off. Every class, every exam, and every project bears your invisible signature. Out there, there are many talented young people who need the bridge that you are building.”
