ZAPOPAN, Jalisco; January 30, 2024.- Students from the Universidad Panamericana Campus Guadalajara, Karla Alatorre, Administration and Management; Paola Velázquez, Administration and International Business; Fernanda Plashinski, Family Business Administration and Management and Administration and International Business; and Andrea Dávila, Administration and Finance, won second place in the Family Enterprise Case Competition (FECC) at the University of Vermont.

The trip took place from January 8-14, during which the students represented Panamericana in the FECC, a competition that challenges participants to analyze business cases of family businesses and develop creative strategies to address their current and future challenges.

"The competition was a family business competition where we were given problems of companies from different industries and countries where we had to give recommendations and strategies to a group of judges," shared student Fernanda Plaschinski .

Participating universities

Twenty-five universities competed in two categories, with Panamericana Campus Guadalajara students competing in the undergraduate category. undergraduate (undergraduate level) against 12 other institutions from around the world.

First place in its division and second place in the competition

The students of Entrepreneurship won first place in their division, competing directly with the University of Munich and the University of Vermont, and then competed against the 6 finalist universities where they won second place in the competition.
