August 16, 2024.- True to its tradition, the Universidad Panamericana celebrated the 2024-2025 School Year Opening Ceremony at its three campuses: Mexico City, Guadalajara and Aguascalientes. This event marked the official start of the school year, welcoming the students and professors who make up the university community.

Opening Ceremony
The Universidad Panamericana celebrates the Opening Ceremony on each campus presided over by the university authorities, summoning all the members of the community, who accompany the faculty to listen to the Master Class: officially the first of the academic year that begins.
Each of the ceremonies on their respective campuses began with a parade of academic staff, composed of university authorities along with directors, deans, doctors and emeritus rectors who wore their academic suits and medals awarded to give solemnity and protocol to the events led by the general rector of the Universidad Panamericana and IPADE, Dr. Fernanda Llergo Bay.

The challenge of building strong people
Dr. Santiago García Álvarez, Rector of the Mexico City campus, spoke about the responsibilities universities face in educating their students. "We universities have the magnanimous challenge of training people who are solid enough technically, deep enough in their knowledge of the human being, ethical in their conduct and coherent in their actions"he said.

Innovation with values and principles
In his speech, Dr. Abraham Mendoza Andrade, the new Rector of the Guadalajara campus, stressed the need to maintain a balance between innovation and enduring values. "Our mission is to educate people of integrity capable of facing the challenges of the 21st century with a solid foundation of values and principles," emphasizing the importance of creativity, critical thinking and service to others as fundamental elements in integral formation.

"Where the spirit is there is freedom."
Antonio de los Reyes, Rector of the Aguascalientes campus, reflected on the educational situation in Mexico and the commitment of Universidad Panamericana to train leaders with values. With the motto "Where there is spirit there is freedom","I invite you to watch over the truth and freedom inside and outside your environment, with the firm conviction of being leaders with values.with the firm conviction of being agents of change".

Strength and excellence in a changing world
The first lecture of the course, entitled "The outdated and the perennial: solidity and excellence in a changing world", was given by Dr. María de los Ángeles Padilla Lavín, Vice Rector General for Educational Innovation. During her presentation, Dr. Padilla emphasized the following: "Soundness and excellence are necessary in a changing world.Soundness and excellence are necessary, crucial in a world in which it seems that everything is changingand educational innovation, in the 21st century, is a link between the two".

Preparing for the celebration
Finally, Dr. Fernanda Llergo Bay, Rector General of Universidad Panamericana and IPADE, focused her speech on institutional identity and the major upcoming celebrations, such as the 60th anniversary of Panamericana and the centennial of Opus Dei.
"Our identity plays a fundamental role in our daily work.It manifests who we are in each of our facets, both in our personal and professional lives, it is something that is lived, felt, perceived and transmitted, a message that transcends us and that is greater than the adversities that may come our way," he said.
With the Opening Ceremony of the 2024-2025 academic year, Universidad Panamericana reiterates its commitment to train leaders with values, capable of facing the challenges of an ever-changing world. This cycle symbolizes the beginning of a stage of growth and learning that will continue to strengthen the university community.
