Mexico City, March 19, 2025. In order to explore the challenges and opportunities presented by innovation in the digital era, as well as to share the most recent technological advances and celebrate the opening of the new Technology Center, Universidad Panamericana held the Technology Day: leadership, innovation and the technological future..
The event, which brought together academics and students from our university with prominent industry leaders, served as a key space to reflect on the role of technology in education, the world of work and society in general.

Technology Center: point of interaction and dialogue
In his inaugural speech, Dr. Santiago García highlighted the importance of the new Technology Center. Technology CenterTechnology Center, a designed to foster creativity, interdisciplinary learning and interaction with leading technology companies.
"Our purpose is that this space becomes a point of interaction and dialogue, fostering innovation, creativity and the development of interdisciplinary projects."said the rector.
The Technology Center adds to the infrastructure of the Innovation Hall, which already has state-of-the-art laboratories such as the D-Lab, the Finance Lab and the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, thus consolidating a technological ecosystem within the university.
Juan Carlos García thanked those who made this project possible. He also informed those present that new services have been implemented that allow immediate connection. He also emphasized how, in just six or seven weeks, the Technology Center became one of the points of greatest concentration and activity.
The future of work: AI, automation, and new skills
One of the most impressive moments of the event was the intervention of Mtro. Moisés Hernández Osorno, who participated via hologram from Ireland to speak about the changes in the labor market. "The inauguration of the Technology Center at Universidad Panamericana represents a milestone in the student experience, preparing them for a constantly evolving world of work," he said.he said.
The alumni also highlighted the impact of technological advancement, especially in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), and the need to acquire new skills. "Sixty-eight percent of today's jobs did not exist 20 years ago, and 70% of the skills required will change by 2030. This new space will be key to training professionals who are competitive and adaptable to today's environment"he said.
Panels and discussions with industry leaders
The Technology Day also featured the participation of prominent leaders in the technology industry, who shared their views on the impact of technology on the business world and society.
In the panel Leadership and digital transformationmoderated by Carlos Mota, an economics and business journalist, addressed how organizations can face the challenges of the digital era, the impact of AI and automation in companies.
Panelists included Jorge Castillafrom Accenture, who shared his experience in technology consulting and the disruptive trends that are shaping the future of business; Pilar Remis Vasavilbaso from AWS, who spoke about the evolution of innovation at Amazon in a high-tech scenario; and Juan Luis Bordes from PayPal, who analyzed the future of digital payments and their impact on global financial inclusion.
While in the panel Connecting the Futuremoderated by Susana Saenzbusiness journalist and Head of Multimedia Content & Events at Whitepaper, the conversation revolved around the challenges of cybersecurity challengescollaboration between universities and companies to boost technological talent, and emerging technologies. emerging technologies that will shape the future of work and daily life.
The following participated Isidro Quintanafrom Cisco, who spoke about how AI and automation are transforming the connectivity of the future; Lorena Bravofrom Google, who discussed the impact of AI on education, work and technological sustainability; and Guillermo Medina of Max4 Technologies, alumni of Panamericana, who offered his vision on the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Mexico and the challenges to consolidate the country as a leader in innovation.
A spectacular closing with Space Drones Show
Technology Day concluded with the Space Drones Showa display of drones operated by Panamericana students and designed by WG Drones, a company founded by Manuel Romo Badillo y Jose Antonio Aguileragraduates of the university.
This event was a key space for key dialogue to understand how business and academia can work together to build a more innovative and secure digital future..
