Female talent UP in ANTAD Entrepreneur Challenge 2025

The Universidad Panamericana campus Aguascalientesthrough the School of Food Business Managementreaffirmed its commitment to entrepreneurship and innovation, by standing out in the ANTAD Entrepreneur 2025 Challengewhere students from the institution presented proposals for innovative food products.

Driving the future of the food industry

Organized by the Asociación Nacional de Tiendas de Autoservicio y Departamentales (ANTAD)This contest brings together young entrepreneurs at the undergraduate and graduate levels to promote their projects and connect with leading companies in the sector, such as DHL, La Comer, Coppel, Sanborns and Del Sol.

As part of the Entrepreneurshipprogram, directed by Carolina Hernándezresearch professor at the School of Food Business Management, four products were submitted, three of which made it to the final, presenting their ideas to a highly qualified jury.

The objective of this initiative in the Gastronomic Business Department is to support and encourage students in their ventures so that they can develop them professionally. In this sense, not only do they enhance their culinary skills, but they also develop processed products and have the possibility of generating business through them.

"I work with them to develop the product and once it is ready, we work hand in hand with professors from the Business Academy so that they learn how to make a business plan; this year we are also collaborating with students from the School of Engineering to develop the image", says Carolina.says Carolina.

Innovative projects that impact the market

The products presented were Serpentiras from Ana Victoria Martínez, Yog Bite by Loredana Rivas y Zen Vita by Samantha Gómezwhich won third place in the Supermarkets category in the ANTAD Entrepreneur 2025 Challenge.

Serpentiras

Since she was a little girl, Ana Victoria showed an interest in the elaboration of food products, and it was her taste for snacks that led her to snacks spicy-sour flavor that she made a chili dip that led to the creation of her brand Serpentirasbrand Serpentiras, watermelon-flavored soft gummy strips covered with the chili dip and chili powder.

"Something that makes my product unique is that it has all the flavors in one bite. In addition, consumers can customize with the spiciness they want and can enjoy it at any time of the day as a snack"emphasizes Ana Victoria.

Thanks to this experience, Ana Victoria invites all entrepreneurs to trust in their product and always seek to give it an added value to make a difference in the market.

Yog Bite

Thanks to her passion for science in the kitchen, Samantha created a rich and beneficial option for people who wish to have a healthy and conscious lifestyle. Zen Vita is an artisanal kombucha with different flavors, which works as a probiotic to help the intestinal flora if you have a constant consumption.

"For me, winning this third place was a very nice feeling, because I was able to see the development of something I put all my heart and effort into and it was worth it. (...) this experience allowed me to believe that my product has all the potential and that I have to keep working hard."she stresses.
