The graduate programprovides a humanities-based education through in-depth discussions of the culture and philosophy of each historical period.
The program thus offers a solid foundation in the history of ideas, combining historical analysis with research seminars. This approach encourages reflection on classic philosophical problems, providing a better understanding of the context and spirit of our times.
The program lasts 2 years, divided into 4 semesters. Each semester consists of 1 short seminar (2 weeks) on Research Methodology at the beginning of the odd-numbered semesters and 3 seminars taken consecutively (History, Ideas, and Philosophy), each of which consists of 10 sessions lasting 3 hours each. The program is structured chronologically, with one semester devoted to each period (Antiquity, the Middle Ages, the Modern Era, and the Contemporary Era). The topics covered in the specialized seminars are framed within the historical period of each semester.

The master's program offers its graduates a continuing education program that allows them to stay up to date academically through four Saturday sessions per semester, organized around a common theme. These sessions are delivered in a hybrid format, allowing for in-person attendance at the UP's Santa Fe campus or remote participation via Zoom.
The program is offered in an in-person format, with sessions scheduled on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
This format allows for direct and in-depth interaction with the faculty, fostering philosophical dialogue within the community.

The rigorous nature of our master’s program requires students to complete an analytical reading assignment prior to each session to ensure active participation in the seminar.
Regarding course credit, the evaluation process is completed by submitting an essay-style research paper at the end of each module, allowing students to progressively integrate the knowledge they have acquired.
