Mexico City, December 13, 2024. During the fall 2024 semester, ninth-semester students of the School of Hospitality (ESDAI) of the Universidad Panamericana faced a unique challenge: the Belmond Group Belmond Group Challenge.
This experience connected academia with the luxury hospitality industry, providing them with a practical and innovative challenge.
Innovation in action: the Belmond Group Challenge
The project, part of the Tourism elective block, consisted of developing a marketing strategy and means for marketing local marketing strategy and media to increase clientele in the consumption centers of the Maroma, A Belmond Hotel.
The students worked on innovative proposals with the objective of attracting more local diners to the food and beverage area, putting into practice their knowledge in management, creativity and hospitality acquired during their training at ESDAI.
A bridge between industry and academia

The event was attended by leading professionals from Belmond and academia, including:
- Ana Paula Trueba, Area Director of Human Resources Mexico in Belmond.
- Eduardo de León, Food and Beverage Assistant Director.
- Mtra. Claudia Galindo Correahead of the ESDAI Management Academy.
- Ana María Morett Sánchez, professor leader of the project.
