ZAPOPAN, Jalisco; October 10, 2023.- The American Concrete Institute Student Chapter at Universidad Panamericana campus Guadalajara is proud to announce its recent win in the "Mortar Workability" competition during the American Concrete Institute (ACI)National Student Chapter Meeting, held at the Universidad Autónoma de Sinaloa (UAS) in Mazatlán, Sinaloa.
The ENACE
The Encuentro Nacional de Capítulos Estudiantiles del ACI (ENACE) is an annual event that brings together students from all over Mexico interested in the field of concrete. This year, ENACE attracted more than 600 students from more than 25 universities across the country and offered a variety of activities, including lectures, workshops, construction site visits, and a student competition.
The competition presented an exciting challenge in which more than 44 teams from 25 universities competed to design and manufacture a mortar mix with optimum flowability and stability. The evaluation criteria included flowability, stability, a detailed mix report and production cost.
Victory and Recognition
The team representing Panamericana demonstrated its excellence in this challenge and won first place in the "Mortar Workability" competition, an achievement that highlights its commitment to quality and innovation in the field of concrete.
The prize for the winning team includes the opportunity to attend the ACI International Convention, to be held in New Orleans next year, all expenses paid.
