ZAPOPAN, Jalisco; March 13, 2023. The School of Hospitality and the School of Pedagogy and Psychology of Panamericana, organized a panel of Women Transforming the World, on the transformation that the world has thanks to women, on the occasion of International Women's Day.

Women Transforming the World

This panel had the presence of two moderators, Dr. Frine Velázquez Contreras, Director of the School of Hospitality and Dr. Daniela Salgado Gutiérrez, Director of the School of Pedagogy and Psychology. Daniela Salgado Gutiérrez, Director of the School of Pedagogy and Psychology; and three panelists, Yleana Leal Rey, General Director of Brown Forman Mexico; Fanny Guadalupe Valdivia Márquez, Undersecretary of Higher Secondary Education of the Ministry of the State of Jalisco; Elena Anaya de Velasco, Doctor in Neurosciences and Cognition from the School of Medicine of the University of Navarra (Spain).

During the course of this panel Women Transforming the World, two general questions were addressed, the. "How can men and women contribute harmoniously to the development of business, the public sector, the family and society?", and delving more deeply into the area of women, "What actions can we promote from the areas in which we develop to leave a legacy and be a living example of a well-understood feminism for future generations?"

Topics of interest

Yleana Leal spoke about women in the company, explaining the skills and competencies that are important in the company, as well as her professional career and how to achieve her goals.

PANEL: Women Transforming the World

Elena Anaya addressed the topic of women in the family and in society, talking about how to achieve a balance without neglecting both roles, what role women play as a pillar in the integral formation of the family and society, and finally how we can enhance what distinguishes us as women to transform and humanize society.

Finally, Fanny Valdivia spoke about the role of women in the public sector and education, explaining the importance of opening educational and training opportunities for women in society, the participation of women in public office and their experience in public office.

The objective of these spaces for participation and reflection within this university is to encourage each person to an internal self-evaluation in order to be the best version of him/herself.
