Quality training for future entrepreneurs

Aguascalientes, Ags., September 30, 2024.— The International Business Certification from the Panamericana University’s Aguascalientes campusis a program of the School of Economics and Business that aims to empower and prepare students to develop their business skills. This certification is offered in partnership with the University of San Diego, with which there is an agreement. After the eleven in-person sessions at the Universidad Panamericana, students will travel there to attend the closing session so they can also learn about how business is conducted in the United States.

A business certification

This program kicked off in early September, with more than 100 students from various high schools in Aguascalientes and the surrounding region participating in the first session, “What’s My Best Choice?” During the session , students had the opportunity to learn more about employability and how to reach their full potential.

The second session featured guest speaker Luis Arandia, a Mexican entrepreneur and Shark Tank winner, who spoke about entrepreneurship and shared his own experiences.

Investment and finance, neuromarketing and customer experience, business expansion, global megatrends, global trade, accounting, and more are some of the topics covered in this certification program. It is important to note that throughout the course, students will have the opportunity to test their knowledge through practical case studies supervised by instructors; they will even be able to participate in a conference on marketing and data strategy.

Top-notch preparation

The DBL certification is part of the DBL Program (Developing Business Leaders Program), an initiative designed for high-achieving young professionals seeking to enhance their skills in the study of the case method—specifically in business cases. The program also promotes the analysis of business cases and covers topics such as strategic planning, consulting, and technical English for business, among many others.

“The goal of the DBL Program is to reinforce the topics our students cover in class in a more dynamic and collaborative way, with the aim of fostering critical and analytical thinking, promoting teamwork, and teaching them how to work under pressure,” says Aldo Alfieri, director of the DBL Program and International Affairs and professor at the School of Business.

In this regard, this certification is a smaller but equally professional version of the DBL Program.

It is worth noting that the DBL Program also supports students in the School of Business as they prepare for global business case competitions. We are proud that our students have participated in various competitions, including the Family Business Case Competition in Vermont and the Business Ethics Case Competition in Arizona, United States, as well as others in countries such as Canada and Australia.

Furthermore, at the University of Münster Business Case Competition in Germany held in 2023, the team representing Panamericana University took third place—the first time in history that a Latin American university has achieved this feat.

“The business world is waiting for you—grow, learn, and get certified. Take full advantage of everything the university has to offer, he urges.
