April 26, 2023.— As part of the 84th Assembly of the Federation of Mexican Private Institutions of Higher Education (FIMPES), which took place on Friday, April 21, 2023, the Dr. José Antonio Esquivias Romero, Dean of the Guadalajara Campus, accepted on behalf of the Universidad Panamericana the Level 1 Academic Integrity Seal, which attests to our strong commitment to fostering a culture of integrity at all levels of our institution.
About FIMPES
The Federation of Mexican Private Institutions of Higher Education is a non-profit, voluntary membership association that brings together 114 private institutions of higher education, with more than 880,000 students enrolled across more than 400 university campuses located in 31 states across the country.
Its purpose is to contribute to improving the quality of education of its affiliates, as well as to represent the interests of its members and the members of their communities in order to serve Mexico.

Culture of Integrity
The goal of the FIMPES Academic Integrity Seal is to encourage higher education institutions to foster a culture of integrity at all levels of the organization. To date , only 14 of the 114 institutions affiliated with the federation have received this distinction.
In this edition, in addition to the Pan-American University, institutions such as the Marist University of San Luis Potosí and the Latin University of Mexico received recognition.
The methodology used to evaluate the institutions involved a questionnaire, which at Panamericana was completed by at least 30% of undergraduate students (third semester or fourth quarter and beyond).
Using this questionnaire, a student perception survey was conducted to determine the UP’s level of commitment to promoting academic integrity, yielding very positive results.
For the Universidad Panamericana, this recognition underscores the university’s commitment to practices that promote honesty, trust, fairness, respect, and accountability at all levels of the institution.
