Zapopan, Jalisco; September 23, 2025. The Universidad Panamericana GuadalajaraUniversidad Panamericana launched the fifth edition of the blood donation campaign Corazón Pantera, an initiative that has become a tradition of solidarity within the institution and seeks to raise awareness among the university community about the importance of altruistic blood donation.
The campaign, organized by the committees of the Bachelor's Degree in Management (AD), Family Business Administration and Management (ADEF), and Talent Management and Administration (ADT), will take place from September 23 to 25, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., between the terrace of the Aula Magna and the Ex-IPADE building.

A tradition that saves lives
During the inauguration, academic and health authorities highlighted the value of Panamericana's initiative. Dr. Abraham Mendoza Andrade, rector of the Guadalajara campus, emphasized that this campaign reflects the values that distinguish the university: "It is a campaign based entirely on people's generosity, and it definitely saves lives, even though the heroes of donation are often anonymous."
The rector also shared his personal experience, recalling that blood donation can be decisive in critical situations.
Personally, I have witnessed how blood donation saves lives. I had firsthand experience of urgently needing a huge number of blood units and being able to find people to donate and, also, through the banks, to obtain the significant volume that was needed at that time."

For his part, Dr. Antonio Muñoz Serrano, commissioner of Coprisjal, recognized the Universidad Panamericana in Guadalajara as the most important university community in terms of blood donation, with campaigns that attract up to 50 donors per day.
“Today we congratulate the Panamericana university community, an example in many ways. Donations have increased, and this is very valuable. This means that you, the university students here today at this university, not only have technical knowledge, but also have values," he emphasized.

Voices that inspire
The experience of donors also marked the opening day. Eduardo Pérez, a master's student in Business Administration, is a regular blood donor and shared the following: "I try to donate blood at least two or three times a year. With a small gesture, you can save at least one life. The greatest satisfaction is helping others, even if you don't know them."
For Sofía Salgado, president of the Talent Management and Administration Committee, seeing Corazón Pantera grow has been a source of pride: "I knew it was a very beautiful cause, but seeing the real impact makes me realize how valuable it is. I feel very blessed to be able to participate," she said.
