Mexico City, Mexico, June 14, 2024. Universidad Panamericana participated and excelled in the recent Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2024consolidating its position as one of the leading educational institutions committed to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
In this edition, Panamericana has been recognized in several categories, highlighting its dedication to academic excellence, research and social impact .
Among the most notable achievements is its recognition within the global Top 100 in Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 1 - End Poverty, highlighting its social work and commitment to society, especially marginalized communities and support for low-income students.
Evaluation and Methodology
THE conducts an evaluation for each of the SDGs and the institutions choose which SDG to participate in, however, participation in SDG 17 (partnerships to achieve goals) is mandatory for all institutions .
Each SDG has a specific assessment that considers three criteria:
- Research indexed in Scopus.
- University actions on specific criteria by SDG (web evidence).
- Numerical data of the institution such as graduates, first-time students, scholarships awarded, etc.

This achievement underscores Pan American's continued efforts in its commitment to social work, support for marginalized communities, scholarships and research aimed at eradicating poverty, as it has implemented numerous projects that directly impact the quality of life of the most vulnerable people.
Among the initiatives highlighted are educational support programs , health services, sustainability initiatives, and legal-legal efforts that strengthen the social fabric . In addition, our school has collaborated closely with governmental entities and non-governmental organizations to maximize the reach and effectiveness of its programs.
This recognition in the THE ranking not only highlights the dedication and hard work of the university community, but also motivates them to move forward with initiatives that contribute to social welfare and sustainable development.
Within the scope of SDG 4 - Quality Education, Universidad Panamericana has been recognized as the second best private university in Mexico. This recognition reflects its commitment to educational excellence, ensuring that its students receive a high quality education that prepares them to face the challenges of today's world.
Meanwhile, in SDG 9 - Industry, Innovation and Transfer, it is positioned as the second best private university in Mexico, an achievement that underscores the university's efforts to promote innovation and technology transfer, standing out in research and patent creation.
In addition, Universidad Panamericana has been a hotbed of spin-off companies . spin-off companiesThe company has also been a seedbed for spin-off companies, promoting entrepreneurship and economic development through the practical application of its research.
These awards are testimony to the hard work and dedication of the university community, including students, professors and researchers, who continue to contribute to the progress and sustainable development of society.
