    Josemaría Ochoa García

    She decided to study a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting at UPGDL when she finished high school. His professional dedication is teaching, which he is so passionate about, that is why he decided to study a Master's Degree in Pedagogy at UP. He has been a professor of accounting subjects and now he is a professor of HUMANITIES subjects.

    To prepare himself, he has studied and deepened in philosophical, anthropological and theological topics. He studied at the UP, the Specialty in Anthropology and Ethics. He keeps himself permanently updated in philosophical and theological studies.

    He worked at Colegio Altamira, and it was during this time that he completed the Diploma in Educational Centers Management at PROCEO A.C. He was part of the Board of Directors of that school, and was a teacher in elementary, middle and high school.

    He gives conferences to parents, young people and adolescents, as well as occasionally participates in radio and television programs on topics related to social responsibility and the family, among others.

    Since June 2006, she has been promoting and coordinating a program to help street children and their families, called Codo con Codo (Elbow to Elbow).

    He is an Advisor to the Construye UP Project, which supports UP Operations personnel in their housing.

    Promotes and participates in Rural Promotions in low-income communities; involves university students in visits to people in need or vulnerable groups, such as the Civil Hospital of Guadalajara, Hogares de la Caridad (children and young people with cerebral palsy), among others.

    He has been working at UP for more than 19 years, where he is currently Professor at the Institute of Humanities of UP. He is University Advisor of our house of studies. In addition, he completed 29 years as a professor.

  • José Roberto Rojas Tapia

    José Roberto Rojas Tapia

    José Roberto Roberto Rojas Tapia is Director of the Institute of Humanities at the GDL Campus and a member of the Board of Directors of the University. He is part of the Identity and Values Committee at intercampus level and a member of the Campus Crisis Management Committee.

    He holds a degree in Administration and Finance from Universidad Panamericana, where he obtained -with honorable mention- a specialist degree in Anthropology and Ethics. He also has a specialty in Bioethics from the Centro de Estudios e Investigaciones en Bioética and a Master's degree in History of Thought from Universidad Panamericana , where he also received an honorable mention. His second Master's degree was from the University of Navarra in Marriage and Family.

    He is a graduate of IPADE's Senior Management Program, AD1.

    Rojas is currently pursuing his doctoral studies in Humanities at the ABAT OLIBA University in Barcelona, Spain, where he expects to defend his doctorate in 2024.

  • José Enrique Ávila Palet

    José Enrique Ávila Palet

    José Enrique Avila Palet is a full time professor and researcher at the Institute of Humanities, he teaches History of Universal Culture and Contemporary History in all careers (they are two mandatory Humanities subjects of the common core) in the first and seventh semester of the Universidad Panamericana, Campus Guadalajara since 2013. He advised and directed master's theses in Education at Universidad TecVirtual for 7 years. He has been dedicated to public and private education for more than 30 years, as a teacher and director of different educational institutions. He worked in the area of Education in the Municipal Government of Guadalajara and in the Government of the State of Jalisco for 10 years. He is a researcher in Education and History of Mexico and Spain. He has published more than 20 articles on History and Education in different prestigious journals and has been evaluator and reviewer of numerous research articles. He has a B.A. in Geography and History from the University of Navarra, a M.A. in Education from ITESM (Monterrey, Mexico), and a Ph.D. in Arts and Humanities from the University of Navarra (Pamplona, Spain), he is also a member of the SNI level I (National System of Researchers of Mexico) and collaborates with some international research groups such as the Institute of Culture and Society of the University of Navarra.

    Eusebio Santoyo Mondragón

    Eusebio Santoyo Mondragón has a Bachelor's degree in Pedagogy from Universidad Panamericana campus Guadalajara, and a Master's degree in Philosophy from the University of Guadalajara. He has a Master's Degree in History of Thought and a Specialization in Didactic Competences, both degrees from Universidad Panamericana. He has been Professor of Philosophy at the Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO) and at the Universidad del Valle de Atemajac (UNIVA). He has also been Academic Coordinator at the Institute of Family Education, Professor of Human Factors at the Middle Management Training Institute (ICAMI), Professor of Philosophy at the Center for Studies and Research in Bioethics and Professor of Philosophy at Enlace de Occidente. He is currently a full-time professor in the Department of Humanities at Universidad Panamericana campus Guadalajara, where he has taught Anthropology, Ethics, History of Culture, Social Philosophy and Political Philosophy.

    I started on this beautiful journey of education and training 18 years ago. I have had the wonderful opportunity to explore a wide range of areas of knowledge: Engineering, Education, Philosophy and Psychology. I am passionate about teaching and the one-on-one approach that is so encouraged at Universidad Panamericana. I currently teach Theological Anthropology and collaborate in Family Consultancy as a psychotherapist with a Gestalt approach.

    Alejandro Blas Roldán Castellanos

    D. in Humanities from the UDG, his doctoral project was: "Study of two cases: Pedro Paramo by Juan Rulfo and The Guide by R.K. Narayan". He made a short research stay at the U. of London. Her research topic is: Desert Literatures. He has been an entrepreneur and communicator. He was linked to Jalisco cattle raising and was a rugby coach.

    Eduardo Óscar Charpenel Elorduy

    PhD in philosophy from the Rheinische-Friedrichs-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn (Germany). He published in 2017 the book Ethos und Praxis. Der Charakterbegriff bei Aristoteles at Karl Alber Publishers. He is professor-researcher at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Universidad Panamericana, campus Mixcoac, since 2015. At his alma mater in Germany, he has taught seminars as a visiting scholar and, in the winter semester 2021-2022, he served as visiting professor (Lehrstuhlvertreter) of the chair in ancient philosophy and practical philosophy. His historical interests are currently focused on ancient philosophy (Plato, Aristotle) and classical German philosophy (Kant, Hegel). His systematic interests lie in ethics, political philosophy, philosophy of law, aesthetics, philosophy of culture, and philosophy of religion. He has been a member of the National System of Researchers since 2018 (level II).

(2015) in Philosophy from the Facultad de Filosofía y Letras, and a Diploma in Open and Distance Education (1994) from the Sistema Universidad Abierta y a Distancia, both from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. He has been a Fulbright-García Robles Fellow of the U.S. Department of State at Saint Louis University (1998) and the Catholic University of America (1999-2003), and of the General Direction of Academic Personnel Affairs (1994-1998) at the Instituto de Investigaciones Filosóficas of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.

    Professor of Logic, Argumentation, Political Philosophy, and Analytical Philosophy and Pragmatism, at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Universidad Panamericana, and Liaison Coordinator of the International Logic Olympiad of the Mexican Academy of Logic. Areas of expertise: Modern and contemporary Anglo-American Philosophy; Medieval Scholastic Philosophy; Symbolic Logic, Informal Logic.
