As explained by Dr. Mariano Navarrodean of the School of Communication at the Universidad Panamericana and one of the organizers of the event:"Media ecology evaluates how the media contribute to the configuration of our living spaces, how they give us elements of thought, memories and values, and how we inhabit the world as human communities.".
Central themes of the congress
The congress will address key issues of the digital era, such as the impact of artificial intelligence on communication and education, digital transformation and its effects on society, ethics and regulation in digital environments, and the evolution of the concept of audience in the age of algorithms.
According to Dr. Laura Trujillo Liñándirector of the Universidad Abierta de la Panamericana and vice-president of the Media Ecology Association: "These issues are crucial because they address current concerns about how media affect knowledge, privacy and human interaction.".

The Congress will be attended by Teri McLuhana renowned filmmaker and author, continuing her father's legacy, Marshall McLuhan, a pioneer in media ecology studies. In addition, there will be panel discussions and presentations of media and communication research.
