Zapopan, Jalisco; November 20, 2025.—The Universidad Panamericana Guadalajara campus and the Metropolitan Agency for Urban Forests ( AMBU) signed a collaboration agreement to strengthen joint initiatives focused on environmental protection and sustainable development.
This partnership encourages students, faculty, and staff to actively participate in environmental projects that reinforce the university community’s social and environmental commitment.
AMBU is an intermunicipal public agency that coordinates policies, projects, and initiatives for the conservation, restoration, and management of green spaces in the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area. Its work aims to improve air quality, protect urban biodiversity, and encourage citizen participation in the creation of more sustainable cities.
Commitment to the environment and future generations
The dean of the Guadalajara campus, Dr. Abraham Mendoza, emphasized that this agreement reflects the institution’s commitment to the community and the planet: “Being committed to the community is something that challenges us every day to ask ourselves what more we can do […] It motivates all of us here to get up every day and work, knowing that we want to leave something better for future generations,” he said.
In this way, the University is committed to the future by working to maintain and improve living conditions for everyone. This approach also encourages a more contemplative view of the world, recognizing nature as a gift and not merely a resource.
For his part, Jesús Alejandro Félix, AMBU’s general manager, emphasized the importance of collaboration between institutions to achieve a real impact:“Together, we are much stronger. It is essential to have a spiritual vision of the ecosystem to get where we want to go,” said Jesús Alejandro Félix.
