Aguascalientes, Ags. February 1, 2023.- 20 years ago, Dr. Fernando Covarrubias Tejada began teaching at the School of Economics and Business Administration at our Panamerican University. Panamericanacampus Aguascalientes, where he specializes in international finance; he is currently head of the Administration and Finance and Accounting programs.
"All careers, without exception, that are linked to any institution, have to have some notion of finance and accounting," declares the professor.

Professor Fernando Covarrubias is a graduate of the Bachelor's Degree in Administration and Finance (1998-2002 generation); as part of his academic training he prepared himself to welcome the Master's Degree in Project Evaluation and Administration at the same institution and years later he decided to go to Spain to study the Master's Degree in Business Economics and later the PhD in New Trends in Business Management focused on Corporate Finance at the University of Salamanca. Within our institution and in the academic area, the professor has specialized in international concepts within finance and economics such as international finance, international economics, etc., as well as in the area of financial distress, from the vision that companies that are in a moment of crisis, manage to get out of the crisis, recover and move forward.
"Theyare two closely related careers and have a specific weight in the world of business, of companies: to be able to learn from the past, to use the data and trends of the past and present to be able to glimpse the future and make decisions based on the future," he says.
Panorama and global perspective of Mexico are topics to which the professor has been invited to be a lecturer; it should be noted that these same topics are being considered for future professional projects.
According to the professor: "there is no company or institution, profit or non-profit, that is not linked to or that does not need to have a financial and accounting perspective for its good development, both present and future. I like to think that we financiers are somewhat fortune tellers of the future, not with magic signs, but with numbers, with statistics, with parametrics, with big data to make scientific business decisions for the greater and better development of the institutions".
Outsolvers
On the other hand, Dr. Fernando Covarrubias is part of a firm of which he was co-founder and CEO: Outsolvers S.A. de R.L., a financial services company, which in turn has allowed him to remain as a professor within the university.
"That vision that can come together between the outside, the inside, previous experience, being an alumni and also as a consultant and advisor to companies, seeing the trends that the world has, is something that we want to leave imprinted in the future of the finance and accounting career and above all that permeates throughout the university," he emphasizes.
