ZAPOPAN, Jalisco; July 30, 2024. The Universidad Panamericana Campus Guadalajara informs that the research professor of the School of Engineering, Karina Corona Gutiérrez, obtained her PhD degree in Engineering, specialized in the area of optimization of Industrial Engineering.
His thesis focused on solving problems in the area of logistics, specifically vehicle routing, using both a mathematical model and a heuristic algorithm to find effective solutions.
Doctorate in Engineering
Dr. Karina Corona dedicated her doctoral research to study optimization methods for complex logistics problems. Her work focused on developing efficient solutions for vehicle routing, addressing emergency and disaster situations where fast delivery of goods is crucial. "My research focused on how to get certain goods to certain locations in the fastestway, prioritizing deliveries according to their importance," he explained.
